1.                  Discussion of consent agenda items listed for Regular Council Meeting.

 

2.         Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding a report from the Brazos Valley Council of Governments concerning a proposal to create a large, nature-based regional park in Grimes County and appointment of a member to the related Advisory Committee.

 

3.         Presentation, discussion and possible action by City Council on staff review and recommendations from the Ad Hoc Citizens Task Force on code enforcement noise regulations, rental inspections and registration.

 

4.         Presentation, discussion and possible action on the Community Development Division’s Fiscal Year 2004-2005 proposed Action Plan and Budget.

 

5.         Discussion and possible action on future agenda items – A Council Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given.  A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given.  Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.

The City Council may seek advice from its attorney regarding a pending and contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information.  Litigation is an ongoing process and questions may arise as to a litigation tactic or settlement offer, which needs to be discussed with the City Council.  Upon occasion the City Council may need information from its attorney as to the status of a pending or contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

Real Estate {Gov’t Code Section 551.072}; possible action

The City Council may deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third person.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

 

  a.       Partial assignment of College Station easement to Bryan Texas Utilities for properties     located along 2818 in College Station.

           

Personnel {Gov’t Code Section 551.074}; possible action

The City Council may deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following public officer(s) may be discussed:

11.1     Discussion and possible action on the City Council retreat minutes for May 25, 2004 and workshop and regular minutes for June 10, 2004.

 

11.2     Discussion and possible action on the third and final reading of an ordinance approving a non-exclusive medical waste franchise agreement with American Medical Waste Management, Inc.

 

11.3     Bid No. 04-63 – Discussion and possible action on annual bid for purchase of steel       electrical distribution poles.

11.4     Discussion and possible action on a resolution approving a conveyance agreement to     transfer ownership of 1211 Arizona, a single-family undeveloped property, to the local        Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
