3.         Presentation, discussion and possible action to follow up on the mid year city council retreat.

 

4.         Discussion and possible action on future agenda items – A Council Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given.  A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given.  Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.

The City Council may seek advice from its attorney regarding a pending and contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information.  Litigation is an ongoing process and questions may arise as to a litigation tactic or settlement offer, which needs to be discussed with the City Council.  Upon occasion the City Council may need information from its attorney as to the status of a pending or contemplated litigation subject or settlement offer or attorney-client privileged information.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

The City Council may deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third person.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

 

1.            Acquisition of two easements from property fronting on FM 2818 in Bryan needed for the Water Transmission Project owned by David Allen Weber and Richard Pena.

10.1     Discussion and possible action on the minutes for Workshop and Regular meeting March 25, 2004.

 

10.2     Discussion and possible action on the renewal agreement including Change Order No. 1 for the annual Janitorial Maintenance Services Contract #03-057, Bid No. 03-46 for an annual expenditure of $186,549.40.

 

10.3     Discussion and possible action on a resolution appointing election officials to serve in the May 15, 2004 City of College Station and CSISD general election.

 

10.4     Discussion and possible action on changes to the Council Meeting Procedures.

 

10.5     Discussion and possible action regarding Change Order No. 1 to the Landfill Closure/Landfill Gas Master Plan Contract with CSC Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $480,000.00 for engineering services.

 

10.6     Discussion and possible action on the first reading of an ordinance approving a non-exclusive medical waste franchise agreement with Tejas Medical Waste.

 

10.7     Discussion and possible action on an agreement between the City of College Station and TxDOT to enhance landscaping on University Drive.

 

 

 

10.8     Discussion and possible action on approval of a resolution in support of Texas A&M University’s application to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) for a grant to do research on a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) enabled Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

 

10.9     Discussion and possible action on a resolution that will authorize the condemnation of real property needed for exclusive public utility easements and temporary construction easements in order to develop the Water Transmission Line Project.

 

10.10   Discussion and possible action to adopt the Guidelines for the Naming of Public Facilities.

11.1     Public hearing, discussion and possible action on an ordinance rezoning Phase 6 of the Castlegate Subdivision from A-O Agricultural Open to PDD Planned Development District, consisting of 10.80 acres generally located on the north side of Greens Prairie Road, just west of Castlegate Drive.

 

11.2     Public hearing, discussion and possible action on an ordinance rezoning Nantucket Phase 7, consisting of 4.794 acres located south of Nantucket Drive between State Highway 6 and Harper’s Ferry Road, from A-O Agricultural Open to R-1 Single Family Residential. 

 

11.3     Public hearing, discussion and possible action on an ordinance creating a design overlay for the Krenek Tap Road Corridor.

 

11.4     Presentation, discussion and possible action announcing the Certificates of Deposit, Series 2004 that will be issued at the Regular Council meeting scheduled for April 29, 2004.
