The City Council may deliberate on commercial or financial information that the City Council has received from a business prospect that the City Council seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the city with which the City Council in conducting economic development negotiations may deliberate on an offer of financial or other incentives for a business prospect.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

           

1.     The proposed city conference center and associated privately developed hotel.

 

Real Estate {Gov’t Code Section 551.072}; possible action

The City Council may deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third person.  After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public.  The following subject(s) may be discussed:

                        1.         Fire Station No. 5 Site, South Part of College Station East of Highway 6.

9.2       Bid No. 00-15 - Discussion and possible action to renew an annual blanket purchase order for heavy machinery rental for various City departments. 

9.3       Bid No. 02-08. Discussion and possible action on a resolution approving a construction contract with G. Creek, Inc. in the amount of $1,161,584.85 for the Wolf Pen Creek Lower Trails Phase I Project, WP-0101.

9.4       Bid No. 02-70 - Discussion and possible action on a blanket purchase order for various electric inventory items. 

9.5       Discussion and possible action rejecting previous bids for the replacement of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as well as discussion and possible action approving new bid for purchase from the lowest responsible bidder for replacement of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for the College Station Fire Department.

9.6       Discussion and possible action of an ordinance abandoning a fifteen (15) foot public utility easement located within Lot 1, Block 1, Crystal Park Subdivision, Phase One in the City of College Station.

9.7       Discussion and possible action on the third and final reading of a franchise agreement with Enviromed for the collection and disposal services for treated and untreated medical waste.

9.8       Discussion and possible action on the Juvenile Accountability Grant Resolution to approve " Decision Making" for First Offenders.

9.9       Discussion and possible action on an ordinance to further amend Chapter 3, Appendix 2, College Station Code of Ordinances, allowing the use of power actuated electrical disconnects on certain commercial structures.

Regular Agenda

10.1     Public hearing, discussion and possible action on a rezoning from A-O Agricultural Open to R-1 Single Family Residential for the 36.27-acre tract located at 308 Greens Prairie Road.

10.2     Public hearing, discussion, and possible action on an ordinance amendment for a rezoning of 2.16 acres located at the south corner of the intersection of SH 6 and Raintree Drive from R-1, Single Family to A-P, Administrative Professional.

10.3     Presentation, discussion and possible action on the appointment of one representative to the Bryan/College Station Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors to fill an expired term.

11.       The City Council may convene the executive session following the regular meeting to discuss matters posted on the executive session agenda for 05/09/2002.

 

12.       Final action on executive session, if necessary.
