Whereas, the City Manager of College Station has suddenly announced his resignation effective today.The City Council needs to ensure that the Cityís business is carried on in an orderly fashion; therefore, a special emergency meeting is needed to handle this unforeseen situation which is an urgent public necessity to ensure continuation of basiccity services such as police, fire protection, etc. as well as the formulation of next fiscal yearís budget.††††


1.Call the meeting to order.


2.Discussion and possible action regarding the City Managerís

3.Executive Session to discuss personnel {LGC 551.074}, possible action

†††† (refer to Personnel Section Notice).

The City Council may consider the appointment, employment, evaluation, and duties of Interim City Manager.After discussion of appointment and evaluation of the Interim City Manager in executive session, any final action or vote taken will be in public.
